Including a factory under construction in Nay Pyi Taw, 10 crude bran oil and refined oil factories will be built in other regions and states, according to Myanmar Rice Federation.

Under the leadership of MRF, a crude bran oil and refined oil factory is being built at MAPCO rice mill compound in Pyinmana township, Nay Pyi Taw and the construction is expected to take 12 months and to begin production in February or March in 2024-2025 financial year.

The factory under construction in Nay Pyi Taw will produce 9000 tonnes of crude cooking oil and 6300 tonnes of refined cooking oil, totalling about 15300 tonnes a year.

MRF will continue constructing similar factories in Ayeyarwady Region, Yangon Region and Bagon Region and produced cooking oil will be sold for local consumption as well as for export to foreign countries- Japan, South Korea and European countries.
