Inlay traditional boat racing marks 77th Anniversary of Shan State Day

Inlay Traditional Boat Racing in action on a grand scale. SAC members, Union ministers and dignitaries are also present on the occasion at Inlay Lake in Nyaungshwe Township, Shan State, on 5 February 2024.

The Inlay traditional boat racing was held at Inlay Lake in Nyaungshwe township on 5 February to hail the 77th Anniversary of Shan State Day, which falls on 7 February.
Among the attendees were members of the State Administration Council, including Dr Ba Shwe and Khun San Lwin, Union Ministers U Min Thein Zan, Dr Soe Win, and Jeng Phang Naw Taung, as well as the chief minister of the Shan State government.
Also present were Chinese Minister Counsellor to Myanmar Dr Zheng Zhihong, Deputy Ministers Dr Zaw Myint, Dr Aye Tun, and U Zaw Aye Maung, along with ministers from various states and regions, invitees, and local ethnic groups, all gathered to cheer on the boat racing. Following the races, prizes were awarded to the winners.
Subsequently, members of the State Administration Council, Union ministers, and other officials visited the historic Inlay PhaungdawOo Pagoda, offering golden robes and other donations. — MNA/TRKM
