Insurgent groups attack police station, security members

The armed insurgent groups attacked the security forces in some townships.
On 14 May, the terrorists launched an attack on Kalay Myoma police station in Kalay Township of Sagaing Region. The security members conducted counterattack and blocked the way of insurgents. The police arrested five men, including Hla Myo Aung, who lives in Aung Thitsar Ward, at the corner of No (3) B.E.M.S near Shwe Bon Tha football stadium together with one handmade bomb and two motorcycles.
Similarly, about 40 insurgents attacked the police with small weapons, including handmade guns, percussion rifles and handmade bombs, when the police conducted patrolling at the middle school in Lanmadaw street of No (6) Ward in Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region.
A police member was injured in the attack and taken to Tatmadaw hospital.
