Int’l Online Taekwondo Competition to be held from 15 to 18 April

The first international online taekwondo competition organized by the Myanmar Taekwondo Federation will be held from 15 to 18 April.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, local taekwondo competitions have been held online since mid-2020 by the Myanmar Taekwondo Federation.
As it is an online competition, only dance and kickboxing competitions will be held, with 20 countries, including host Myanmar.
Host Myanmar, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Iran, India, Honduras, Bahrain, Mexico, the United States, Australia, Switzerland, Swedish, Greece, Slovenia and Nicaragua will participate in this virtual competition.
Myanmar local clubs include Aung San Club, YTC Club, San Pya Fighter Club, ABC Club, Dragon Club, Shwe Pyi Thar Club, Home & Affairs Club, Kachin Club, Knight Club, Excellence TKD Gym Club, Tiger (PyinOoLwin) Club, Forever Young TKD Club, Better to Best Club and Nay Pyi Taw Club. They will represent Myanmar.
Dance and kick-off competitions will be held with age restrictions. Since the competition is held online, players must submit a video of the match to the event organizers in advance. —Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
