ISPE FC to play against Thai club in Asian Women’s Club Championship

LOCAL NEWS

Myanmar club ISPE FC will play against the host Thai club College of Asian Scholars at 5 pm Myanmar Standard Time today as the second match of the East Asian Zone Group of the 2022 Asian Women’s Club Championship in Chonburi, Thailand.
Only three teams are competing in the East Asian zone, and Myanmar club ISPE FC faced a loss to Chinese Taipei club Taichung Blue by 2-3 in the first group match.
Therefore, in today’s match, the ISPE FC will have to play with all their might in the hope of advancing to the next round, and there will be hope only if they win.
In case of a draw or a loss, ISPE FC will be out of the group stage, and if they win, they will have to watch the results of the match between the Thai club and the Chinese Taipei club.
ISPE FC has a lesser chance to qualify for the finals as they lost in the opening game of the group.
The two teams with the most points from the East Asia Zone and the West Asia Zone will go to the finals.
ISPE FC has mostly international and youth international level players, but since this is the club’s first international tournament, it lacks experience and struggles to get good results. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
