K240M worth of stimulant tablets seized in Waw Township

The Myanmar Police Force reported the seizure of 160,000 stimulant tablets valued at K240 million in Waw Township.
A joint team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, intercepted a Toyota Probox travelling from Mawlamyine to Yangon near Nyaungkhashay village in Waw Township at 9:15 am on 13 May. They arrested a passenger named Sai Hla Win (aka) Hla Win, who was found to be in possession of the stimulant tablets.
Legal proceedings have commenced against the offender, and an ongoing investigation is underway to apprehend others involved in the case. — MNA/MKKS
