Kayin State welcomes 112,000 domestic visitors, 300 tourists in Jan-Aug

More than 112,000 domestic visitors and more than 300 tourists visited Kayin State in the first eight months of this year, according to Kayin State Directorate of Hotels and Tourism.
Fifty-eight licensed hotels in operation offer thousands of rooms in Kayin State. It earned K2158.52 million between January and August 2023. Moreover, a many Thai people visited the Kayin State through the Myawady Friendship Bridge which was reopened on 12 January 2023 after the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Kayin State government announced 22 destinations in the state for local and foreign travellers at Visitkayin.com Website. Moreover, it will establish a nature-based travel city and arrange tour packages for Thai travellers, the department said.
Kayin State provides a variety of mountainous terrain amidst the beaches and seas of Southern Myanmar. The state is encircled by karst limestone peaks that soar above the lush green paddy fields. Interspersed with incredible caves, Kayin offers a stunning view of the western mountainous area of Myanmar. The city itself is beautiful, surrounded by limestone peaks on all sides. A typical Kayin landscape is characterized by lush green farms which make way for lush green mountains.
Kayin State is famous for its tea and coffee production. Tourists have a lot to explore in Kayin State including Mt. Zwekabin, Lumbini Garden, Thandaung, Sadan Cave and other things.
