Korean students majoring in Myanmar on study tour to Myanmar Embassy in Seoul

Students majoring in Myanmar for their bachelor’s degree at Busan University of Foreign Studies in Busan, Republic of Korea, visited the Myanmar Embassy in Seoul on a study tour on 10 January, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The team, including 12 students, a teacher, and a secretary, was received by the Myanmar Ambassador to the ROK U Thant Sin and officials in the embassy meeting room.
Busan University of Foreign Studies is the only university in the ROK with a Myanmar language department currently attracting nearly 40 students.
Myanmar Ambassador U Thant Sin explained to the study group from Busan University of Foreign Studies about Myanmar-Korea diplomatic relations, the status of mutual investment between the two countries, the activities of the Myanmar Embassy, including those for citizens’ interests, issues of Myanmar workers, and educational cooperation, before answering the questions raised by the group.
