Kunhing Township provides free screening for COVID-19

With the aids of RDT test kits, free screening for the COVID-19 virus was provided to local people in Kunhing Township in southern Shan State yesterday morning to reduce the rate of the pandemic infection as soon as possible, officials said.
To help local people in the township and reduce the incidence of the virus, a total of 140 people were tested free of charge with the RDT Test Kit.
A total of seven people were tested positive for the virus and are being treated at an established hospital.
Screening for the COVID-19 virus was carried out by Township Public Health Department staff and the Red Cross Society members provided necessary assistance.
U Win Naing, Chairman of the COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment Committee and officials inspected the township level screening programme for the virus and urged those who have not yet been vaccinated to get the COVID-19 vaccine. — Pyae (Kunhing)/GNLM
