The Kyaiktiyo Pagoda Festival will be held for seven months from 29 October 2023 (Full Moon of Thadingyut) to 22 May 2023 (Full Moon of Kason), according to the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda Trustees Board.
The Kyaiktiyo Pagoda Trustees Board will provide the pilgrims with appropriate accommodation, transportation and foods during the festival. The number of pilgrims was low during this rainy season. There were 177,749 pilgrims from local and 2,904 abroad during the Pagoda Festival in the rainy season as Thai pilgrims were the most common.
The pagoda festival is usually held from Thadingyut full moon day to Kason full moon day but it is launched to be visited by pilgrims from local and abroad all year long. — TWA/MKKS
