Those who have had Pfizer vaccine will need to have an additional dose after six months, urged by Kyaikto Hospital, citing a case.

A 67-year-old woman from Kyauktanlay village in Kyaikto township was found infected with Covid0-19 after she arrived at Theinzayat hospital on 10 May as she had sudden suffocation.

The woman didn’t have Covid-19 vaccine and she had pneumonia and low oxygen level, so the hospital provided close observation. As she often had difficult breathing, the hospital has provided her with oxygen non-stop, said the hospital.

She has no history of disease and has never had Covid-19 vaccine. During her hospitalization, doctors and staff from Theinzayat hospital and social associations provided the best service.

Now the woman has recovered and was allowed to discharge from hospital, Kyaikto hospital said on 22 May on its Facebook page.

6 persons who had contact with her were found no infection with the virus but asked to continue staying at home, it said.
