Kyaw Swa Win beat Thai fighter Pong Siri in Myanmar-Thailand Lethwei tourney

Myanmar’s Kyaw Swa Win defeated Thai fighter Pong Siri in the second round of the Myanmar-Thailand Lethwei Tournament held at Thuwunna Indoor Stadium-I in Yangon yesterday.
The tourney, featuring six bouts, began at 1 pm Myanmar Standard Time.
Kyaw Swa Win tried to hit the target but missed during the first round of the 72 kg bout. In the second round, Kyaw Swa Win landed a series of punches and elbow on Pong Siri, to finish the fight at 2:09 minute.
In the fight of 75kg, Myanamr’s Rahman vs Thailand’s Worajaklek, the fight was ended as a draw. In the first and second round, both fighter responded equally but Rahman’s fists forced Worajaklek asking for the rest in the third round. Again the fourth and fifth round sees no knock-out action till the final minute.
The 55kg event fights of Ko Ko (Cement Factory) vs Taing Kyaw (M2K Club), the 60kg event fight of Moe Hein vs Naing Aung Shin (Lethwei Warrior Club), and the 65kg event fight of Saw Ba Hein (Cement Factory) vs Aphoe Thway (Lethwei Warrior Club) ended as tie bouts.
In the 62 kg event, Thuye Kaung (Cement Factory) beat Kaung Sett Naing (Yoeya Kyar) in the second round. Officials presented awards to the winners after the thrilling fights. — Bala Soe/KZL
