Lawsuit filed against former Rector of Mandalay University of Medicine

A lawsuit has been filed against Dr Khin Maung Lwin, former Rector of the Mandalay University of Medicine under Section 505-A of the Penal Code for his acts and incitements for the Civil Disobedience Movement.
He declared the University of Medicine, Mandalay as the CDM university, leading the doctors and staff to become involved in the CDM movement on 8 February.
In addition, he threatened Daw Khin Soe Yi, the Director and party who reopened the university on 26 February.
The lawsuit was filed at No (8) police station in Chanayethazan Township under Section 505-A of the Penal Code on 28 February.
It is reported that a public notice has been issued to report to the nearest police station if he was found and those who hid them will have to face effective action under the law. — MNA
