Union Information Minister U Maung Maung Ohn looks into the inside display of IPRD office in Nyaungshwe Township.

The vocational education books, knowledge books and journals should be kept on priority at the library for the youths, said Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn during his visit to the IPRD office in Nyaungshwe Township yesterday.
He continued that the IPRD offices are established in every district and township and the relevant officials should create youth-based centres with proper activities or programmes for the young people at the offices and libraries.
The township is also a tourist destination and arrangements should be made to explore the tradition and cultural heritage. The government now grants allowance for house renting fees to government employees and so the staff should serve the interests of the country and its citizens. All should openly discuss resolving the difficulties and work in unity.
The Union minister then provided cash assistance to the staff.
The libraries should provide proper services to lure the interest of the youths to promote their reading. Young people should know that libraries are their best friends and there should be quality library staff, financial assistance, modern technology and ICT facilities for the libraries. — Htun Htun/GNLM
