MAI to launch YGN-KL relief flight in July

Regarding the COVID-19 examination, MAI passengers can take the COVID-19 test at N Health Laboratory near Sule pagoda road starting from 10 February.

Myanmar Airways International (MAI) is planning to launch Yangon-Kuala Lumpur relief flights next July, according to MAI.
MAI has also extended its suspended flight schedules to Singapore and Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) till 30 June. They will launch only relief flights to Kuala Lumpur, Seoul and Bangkok, according to the announcement of its airline.
Besides, the relief flight will also be launched the Yangon-Bangkok schedules every Saturday starting from next July.
With the extension of the restriction of the travelling period in Myanmar to prevent the spreading of COVID-19, MAI will operate its flight schedules only till 30 June 2021 according to the latest announcements from the Department of Civil Aviation in Myanmar.
The passengers, who have purchased flight tickets for extended suspension periods, will be allowed to freely transfer the scheduled flight depending on the availability of seats. If not, the passengers need to inform the airline of a new rebooking date and or refund not later than 31 August 2021.
Besides, the non-refundable tickets will be exchanged with a travel voucher. Its travel voucher will be available by 30 September 2021. The travel voucher is not allowed to be transferred to others.
Yangon International Airport (YIA) has extended the suspension of all incoming international flights till 30 June 2021, to control the spreading of coronavirus, announced the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
However, for those who will come to Myanmar by relief flight over an emergency government duty or an emergency, foreigners including diplomats and the officers and staff from UN agencies need to contact Myanmar embassies in foreign countries or consulates in Myanmar to lift the visa restrictions.
