Man sentenced to 10 years in prison for forced prostitution

The Yangon West District Court has sentenced a man to 10 years in prison with labour under Section 24 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Law on 10 March, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
Pyae Sone (a) Kyaw Moe Aung, a resident of Mayangon Township in Yangon Region, was found guilty of gaining profits by forcing a 22-year-old woman into prostitution, who lived in Ye Township, Mon State.
A case was filed against him under Section 24 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Law in the Bayintnaung area police station and Yangon West District Court sentenced the defendant. — MNA
