Maungtaw border trade camp handles US$15.758 million worth of trade volume in February

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce, the value of trade from Maungtaw border trade camp to neighbouring countries has reached US$15.758 million, accounting for 137 per cent against the target for the whole year.
The Maungtaw camp set the target in export of $1 million and import of $0.04 million in February. Trade volume reached $1.040 million. Actual trade volume amounted to $1.419 million, accounting for 136 per cent against the target.
The products exported in February 2023 were garlic, apple, areca nut, jaggery, coconut, dry chilli, dried plums and mangoes.
Marine products such as rohu fish, fresh and dried fishes, dried shrimp, plum jam, shoes, Thanakha, coffee mix and rice vermicelli were also exported. — TWA/KZW
