About 200 athletes participated in the men’s and women’s freelance basketball tournament organized by the Myanmar Basketball Federation at the National Indoor Stadium 1 in Yangon yesterday.
The Dauei Dragon team and Oldest-2 team, Dream team and WEPOZT team, Taunggyi team and VIP team, Sunday Club team and RRY team played yesterday in the first stage of the round-robin tourney.
Eighteen men’s teams and three women’s teams from Yangon, Pyay, Dawei, Mandalay, and Kachin State participated in the competition.
The competition will be held until 18 October, and anyone can enter and watch for free, tournament organizers said. — Bala Soe/GNLM
