Min Dhamma Quarantine Centre opened to accommodate returnees

Min Dhamma Quarantine Centre inside the Myanmar Convention Centre (MCC) compound on Min Dhamma Road, Mayangone Township was opened yesterday to accommodate returnees from abroad.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Hla Soe, Yangon City Development Committee Chairman (Mayor) U Bo Htay and Chairman of Myanmar-India Business Association U Zaw Zaw Naing cut a ribbon to open the centre.
Afterwards, the Yangon Region Chief Minister and party inspected the Min Dhamma Quarantine Centre.
MCC building accommoadates 250 returnees and three buildings donated by the Myanmar-India Business Association 180 returnees, totalling 430.
Mayor U Bo Htay and U Zaw Zaw Naing explained that three building are 115 feet long and 40 feet wide each and utensils and sanitary products for quarantined persons are ready to be used in the centre.
After that, Dr Daw San San Yee donated five Oxygen Concentrators to be used at the centre and received by the Chief Minister.
Next, Chairman of Yangon City Development Committee (Mayor) U Bo Htay handed over anti-COVID-19 equipment, including 80 boxes of masks, 400 bottles of hand gel, 200 hoods, 50 face shields, 149 PPE suits donated by the region government.
Then, U Zaw Zaw Naing, Chairman of Myanmar-India Business Association explained the purpose of Min Dhamma Quarantine Center launching with the joint donation of well-wishers.
After that, the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions and coordination was made with the relevant departments to facilitate the further works. —San Kyaw Oo (IPRD)/GNLM
