Min Naing, Kyaw Thet Oo champion in senior pro and professional golfer events

Victorious golfers in senior professional and professional golf events seen with championship trophies.

Min Naing and Kyaw Thet Oo (Okkala Golf Academy & Tee off Apparel) claimed champions in the senior professional golfer event and the professional golfers’ event of the MGF President Cup Golf Tournament yesterday.
Burmese Golf Myanmar Managing Director U Kyaw Ko Ko Chit gave the best amateur player award to Min Sit Thway, who scored 295 strokes.
In the senior pro event, Kyaw Moe (Green Joy Pro Shop) secured the second prize, whereas Soe Kyaw Naing (TaylorMade) won the third with 221 strokes. Myanmar Golf Federation Vice President U Hla Myint Shwe presented a champion trophy to first-prize winner Min Naing, who scored two-under-par 214 strokes in the third round.
Central Executive Committee Member U Thant Zin presented the championship trophy to Kyaw Thet Oo (Okkala Golf Academy & Tee off Apparel) with 23-under-par 265 strokes in the fourth round, followed by second-prize winner Yar Zar (MGG) with 10-under-par 278 strokes and third-prize winner Thein Naing Soe (HAN Golf Academy) with seven-under-par 281 strokes respectively.
Vice-Mayor of Yangon City Development Committee U Nyi Nyi presented a cheque as a cash award to Min Naing in the senior professional event, while MGF President U Ko Ko Aye gave the MGF President Cup and a cheque as a cash award to Kyaw Thet Oo in the professional event. The golf tournament, which took place at Ngwethawda City Golf Resort in Mingaladon Township of Yangon, was participated by 75 golfers. — Aung Myint (IPRD)/TTA
