Ministries and UMFCCI to collaborate on increased production of paper and pulp

The Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, and the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry will collaborate to enhance the manufacturing of paper and pulp, as announced by the federation.
In pursuit of this goal, Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, UMFCCI President U Aye Win, and other officials met with businesspeople and management bodies at paper and pulp factories in the East Dagon Industrial Zone and Dagon Seikkan Industrial Zone on 25 November.
Their discussions focused on obtaining technology and expertise in manufacturing paper and pulp, securing raw materials to enhance production, promoting local manufacturing to reduce reliance on imports, and assisting entrepreneurs in acquiring the necessary equipment. — ASH/NT
