Misinformation: Women inmates of Obo Prison tortured and denied medical treatment

False information was spread on social media that women who were imprisoned for political reasons were forced to get up early in the morning to take a shower and squat on the balcony in the Obo Prison of Mandalay.
Regarding the news, an official from the Correctional Department said that prison staff are managing the prisons under the Prison Act and instructions, without any personal torture.
The Correctional Department of conducts its daily activities under the law. In response, illegal media are deliberately spreading false and misleading information about the Correctional Department and prison staff. — MNA/KZL
