Misleading reports by Khit Thit media on events in Kawkareik

Khit Thit media has been spreading false information, alleging that security forces looted valuables from the homes of residents fleeing conflict in Kawkareik, Kayin State, and destroyed their houses by burning them and dropping bombs.
However, a resident refuted these claims, stating that the reports were entirely fabricated. Additionally, a security official in the area confirmed that innocent civilians were harmed solely due to violent actions by terrorists within Kawkareik township. These terrorists indiscriminately attacked security forces with small arms and heavy weapons, resulting in injuries to locals and damage to their properties.
These malicious media outlets are evidently circulating false news intentionally, with the aim of sowing discord and unrest in the country. — MNA/TRKM
