MoBA UM launches training courses to enhance staff efficiency

The Ministry of Border Affairs (MoBA) initiated two training courses, English Proficient Progress Training Course No 1/2023 and Utilization of Locus Map Software, alongside Reading, Cutting, and Dubbing UTM Training Course 1/2023 yesterday. The courses aim to enhance the capabilities of staff members within the ministry and its affiliated departments.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Union Minister for Border Affairs, Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Khun Thant Zaw Htoo, the permanent secretary, directors-general, deputy permanent secretary, deputy directors-general, officials, training instructors and trainees.
The Union minister emphasized the significance of the English Proficient Progress Training Course No 1/2023 in improving the English proficiency of staff members. He stressed the importance of systematic learning and post-course practice to ensure sustainable knowledge retention.
Furthermore, the utilization of Locus Map Software and the reading, cutting, and dubbing of UTM maps were introduced, highlighting their potential to enhance ministry activities. Emphasizing the importance of staying up-to-date with IT technologies, the Union minister expressed optimism that these advancements would contribute to border region development and the empowerment of ethnic youth, fostering balanced development across regions and states.
The Union minister encouraged trainees to apply their course knowledge in practice and announced plans for additional courses in respective branches. U Than Swe, the instructor of the English Proficient Progress Training Course, provided insights into the course’s content, with the Union minister and attendees showing their support and encouragement for the training programmes. — MNA/TS
