The opening ceremony of the Advanced English Course 1/2024 and English Proficiency Course 1/2024 was held yesterday afternoon at the Ministry’s Assembly Hall in the Ministry of Border Affairs to develop the efficiency of the employees under the Minister’s Office and departments,
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Permanent Secretary U Thein Htay Oo, the director-general, the deputy permanent secretary, deputy directors-general, assistant secretaries/directors, service personnel, the training instructor and trainees.
The Union minister first urged the trainees who will attend the advanced English course to study and learn to be more outstanding than before based on the essential foundation they have gained from the previous English Proficiency Course 1/2023. He also called on the trainees who will attend the English Proficiency Course to learn and memorize with all their energy and strength, to work hard to become highly qualified and efficient employees, and to make utmost efforts to become good civil servants who will contribute to the country’s development.
Afterwards, Training Instructor U Than Swe gave an explanation about improving English skills and the courses, while the Union minister and officials observed the lecture being given at the courses. — MNA/TS
