MoC Union Minister receives Indian Ambassador in Nay Pyi Taw

The Indian ambassador calls on Union Minister U Myo Thant yesterday.

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant received Mr Vinay Kumar, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, at the lounge of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
They discussed work programmes to be carried out for the development of transport between the two countries, upgrading of the Paletwa-Zorumpur road with aid from India, upgrading of the Yarkyi-Kalewa road section, maintenance of 69 bridges on the Tamu-Cikon-Kalewa road and plans to build new ones and construction of an integrated check post at the Tamu border.
The permanent secretary, directors-general and officials from the Department of Highways and Department of Bridges attended the meeting. — MNA/KZW
