MoNREC Union Minister meets Indian Ambassador

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi met Mr Vinay Kumar, Indian ambassador to Myanmar, at the lounge of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
They discussed the conservation of forests for alleviation of climate change and reduction of carbon emissions, implementation of agreements on the conservation of tigers and other wild animals and technical and technological cooperation and cooperation in mineral sector.
Deputy Minister U Min Thu, the permanent secretary, the directors-general, managing directors, rectors, officials from the ministry and representatives from the Indian embassy attended the meeting. —MNA/KZW
