Numerous female candidates register for 16th EPS-TOPIK exam in service industry group

For the 16th EPS-TOPIK exam, which is going to take place on 10 May, many women candidates have registered in the service industry group.
“Women are allowed for the first time in this year, so there are many interested women applicants. Of around 9,000 candidates who have registered in the service industry category, about two-thirds are women,” said a freelance Korean language teacher.
The exam will be held from 30 April to 10 May for agriculture, livestock and construction industries, from 10 May to 29 May for service industry group 1 and group 2, and the date for manufacturing industry will be further announced, POEA said on 18 April.

POEA said on 25 April that those who paid the registration fee for the manufacturing industry exam need to make sure to include the batch number on the receipt for the exam permission, and those who have no batch number can inform the POEA office before 26 April.
The exam centre is located at the POEA office, Pinlon Hall, Ward 43, corner of Minyekyawswa Road and Bominyaung Road in Dagon Myothit (North). Male candidates have to wear a shirt and longyi, and female candidates have to wear a Myanmar outfit, POEA warned.
In the 16th TOPIK test, the 7th marking employment system, which will be held in 2024, recruitment of Myanmar workers will be extended in the Republic of Korea’s service industry, and both males and females are eligible to join the test. Women who would take the exam for the service industry must complete basic high school level. — MT/ZS/ED
