MoEE to organize research training courses for new-generation staff

The MoEE Union Minister and party are paying an inspection tour around the Myaungdagar substation in Hmawby yesterday.

Union Minister U Aung Than Oo of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and Yangon Region Administration Council Chairman U Hla Soe attended a ceremony in order to drive stakes and lay gem cornerstones for the construction of Lawka Yankin pagoda, a replica of Shwedagon Pagoda, in the compound of No (4) Fertilizer Factory (Myaungdagar) of Myanmar Petrochemical Enterprise in Hmawby Township yesterday.
The Union minister and party then inspected urea fertilizer manufacturing processes, Distributed Control System (DCS), the operation of the testing laboratory for product quality and packing system of urea fertilizer.
The officials also went to the Myaungdagar substation of the Department of Power Transmission and System Control and inspected power distribution, 230 kV Shwe Taung-Myaungdagar grid in Switchyard and building of 230/66/11 kV 150 MVA transformer.
The Union Minister and party then met the officials of the Applied Research Department (Htaukkyant) of Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise in Mingaladon Township. During the meeting, the Union Minister stressed the need to conduct research training courses for new-generation staff, share techniques and upgrade the Applied Research Department in order to assist seismic measuring processes for oil exploration. He also inspected the labs and Core Samples in the warehouses. — MNA
