MoHA Union Minister meets staff, family members of departments

Overpowered by ethnic armed organizations, members of the security police forces assigned at a border outpost sacrificed their lives, holding to the motto “Our post shall never fall until we die”, they were worthy of praise, and it is necessary for members of the police force to continue to carry out security duties, hand in hand with the Tatmadaw, said Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut, also a member of the State Administration Council.
The Union minister mentioned the above in meeting with the staff and family members of the security police force at the hall of the office of the commander of the Rakhine State police force in Sittway, on the morning of 4 September and at the Control Headquarters of Border Guard Police Force in Maungtaw area on the afternoon of 5 September.
At the meetings, the Union minister explained the guidance and instructions of the Head of State, the reasons for the emergence of the State Administration Council, compulsory basic education at the expense of the State, and the important role of mothers in the improvement of children’s education and life. The Union minister also advised the family members to do the farming on a manageable scale. Then, the Union minister had a frank and cordial chat with members of the security force and the families and fulfilled their requirements.
During his tour, the Union minister also met with responsible personnel at the office of the Rakhine State General Administration Department and urged them to carry out preparatory work for elections systematically and to be precise and thorough in compiling data and statistics. Moreover, the Union minister proceeded to Rakhine State Fire Brigade, met with fire brigade members and their families and inspected the maintenance of fire engines. He also visited the Sittway prison, inspected the food and accommodation for the prisoners and met their needs.
On the evening of 6 September, the Union minister had lunch with members of the security police force at the police mess in Sittway. He gave detailed information about the movements of the armed insurgents and asked about the difficulties the members of the security police force had and satisfied their requirements. — MNA
