MoHT Union Minister holds meeting on tourism development

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung emphasizes preparations of hotels for visits of travellers in regions and states at the meeting.

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung presided over a virtual coordination meeting on tourism development with the region/state officials including Nay Pyi Taw and hotel zone chairmen of Myanmar Hoteliers Association yesterday.
During the meeting, the Union Minister said the hotels need to be prepared to be ready for the tourists visiting regions/states. It is necessary for the Ministry of Health and ministries concerned to cooperate in reopening the hotels in line with the Enchanting Myanmar Health & Safety Protocols.
Currently, the hotels are systematically prepared in accord with the preventive health standards. A video showing the practical services will be released soon and it should be played via TV channels of hotels, motels, lodges, lobby and dining rooms.
Moreover, the people are now seemed to make the leisure travels as they are not only travelling for fun or parties. Therefore, the respective officials, hotel zone chairmen and entrepreneurs should work in concert to ensure an enjoyable tourist site in their respective areas in line with the health rules.
Then the attendees to the meeting reported on the reopening of hotels, destination sites, vaccination programmes for those working in seven hotels and tourism sectors, outsourcing training via online and exploration of new destinations. The Union Minister finally stressed the necessary things regarding with fully vaccination and online training courses for hotel staff, and concluded the meeting.—MNA
