Union Minister Dr Htay Aung meets Thai delegation led by Ambassador Mr Mongkol Visitstump yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung received the delegation led by Thai Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Mongkol Visitstump at the meeting hall of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
At the meeting, the Union minister extended greetings and the Thai ambassador friendly discussed matters relating to the promotion of cooperation in the tourism sector in the post-Covid-19 period, the purchase of health insurance by Thai tourists visiting Myanmar, further cooperation in development of MSME businesses, , organizing the trade and tourism exhibition and promoting cooperation with the ministry in tourism-related sectors.
The Union minister responded that it was necessary to increase the number of flights between the two countries, that all the necessary arrangements would be made to facilitate the influx of foreign tourists and that the two countries would need to increase cooperation in all relevant sectors so that Thai businessmen could come and invest in Myanmar. – MNA/MKKS
