MoI celebrates Thadingyut Festival with funfair, entertainment

The Ministry of Information hosted a vibrant funfair and entertainment event in celebration of the Thadingyut festival at their Nay Pyi Taw office yesterday. The gathering featured the presence of Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, Permanent Secretary U Myo Myint Maung, departmental heads, and enthusiastic staff members.
Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn extended a warm welcome and expressed gratitude to the staff for their crucial role in the ministry’s success. He emphasized the ministry’s significance as a State-reliance department and recognized the staff’s dedication to public welfare activities.
In honour of the Thadingyut festival, the event included performances by MRTV vocalists and the MRTV modern music band, with staff members joining in the celebrations. The festivities continued with a singing competition featuring participants from various departments, including the Union Minister’s Office, Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV), Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD), Printing and Publishing Department (PPD), and News and Periodicals Enterprise (NPE), showcasing Myanmar classical and Myanmar pop songs.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards, including bicycles and cash prizes, to lucky draw winners and the first, second, third, and consolation prize winners of the singing contest. — MNA/TS
