MoI Deputy Minister visits Rakhine State, meets department officials

Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint held a meeting with the Head of the Rakhine State Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD), and Township and District IPRD Heads of Sittway, Ponnagyun, Yathedaung, Pauktaw, MraukU, Kyauktaw, Minbya, and Myebon townships, Regional head of Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) Retransmission Station (Sittway) and officials from Sub-Printing House (Sittway) in Sittway on 17 October.
Afterwards, the Deputy Minister accompanied by the Head of the Rakhine State Information and Public Relations Department U Tin Ko Win, inspected the IPRD, the public library, children’s reading room and a small museum in Sittway District.
In the afternoon, he visited the MRTV Station in Sittway, inspected the broadcasting equipment and met with the zone chief and staff. He instructed them to ensure that the equipment was not damaged and there was no interruption in the broadcast, and that factory security is in place. During the visit to the Sub-Printing House under the News and Periodicals Enterprise, he instructed the staff to carry out their duties in harmony with each other and to improve the quality of the newspaper using the equipment systematically.
Yesterday morning, the Deputy Minister met with employees of the Maungtaw District Information and Public Relations Department and Taung Pyo Letwe town IPRD.
The Deputy Minister, together with the Chairman and members of the Maungtaw District Administration Body, encouraged the vaccinations to the students in Maungtaw Township, and cordially met with students, parents and teachers. The vaccination to the students at the age of 12 and above started on 17 October and 1,404 students of 7,297 students in the township have been vaccinated as of yesterday.
During a meeting with staff, he said the COVID-19 infection has significantly dropped and it will return to normal in a near future as acts of violence are also eliminated with the cooperation of the public. He urged them to be ready to resume their information duties regularly, to disseminate false information about terrorists and make the people aware of their true nature of the disintegration of the country, to work together for the COVID-19 vaccination for students and the Pann Khin Project, to cooperate with relevant authorities for the successful implementation of the stability, security and regional development. — MNA
