The Broadcasting Governing Body-BGB meeting 3/2022 underway online.

The Ministry of Information held the online meeting of the Broadcasting Governing Body-BGB (3/2022) yesterday morning. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, officials from the ministry, the Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV), and the Myawady Television, and broadcasting companies that are working together with MRTV and Myawady TV.
While addressing the meeting, BGB Chairman Deputy Minister U Ye Tint discussed the need to be careful of broadcasting companies that are working together with the MRTV not to broadcast in a way that could endanger the stability and security of the country, to abide by the existing laws, terms of the partnership agreement with the department, and with media ethics, to include the dissemination of information and programmes that will benefit the country and the people, including the peace process being carried out by the State, to broadcast real news in time and to eliminate false information. The deputy minister also discussed matters related to the security of the staff and equipment and coordinated as required.
The Broadcasting Governing Body-BGB is chaired by the MoI deputy minister and is formed with a total of 21 members from the ministry, MRTV, and broadcasting companies in partnership with MRTV. — MNA
