MoI UM makes inspection tours in Mandalay

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn delivered the national building and media role subject at the special refresher course No 23 for the faculty members of the universities and colleges at the Yadanabon Hall of the Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar) yesterday.
During the knowledge augmentation, the Union minister highlighted the progress in the current political, economic and social sectors of the country, efforts of the government for prosperity and food security of the nation, the construction of the Maravijaya Buddha Image, the 75th Anniversary of Union Day, Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, State-level ceremonies, exhibitions, competitions and festivals, rehabilitation activities after Cyclone Mocha under the leadership of Union, holding of the Eighth Anniversary of NCA, activities of Ministry of Information in the fight against false news/misinformation including its attendance to local and foreign media outlets’ meetings, development in media relations and media sector and other matters for the trainees.
The training will last five weeks and a total of 397 trainees joined it.
On the same evening, he met the staff of Upper Myanmar Government Printing Press (Mandalay) of the Printing and Publishing Department in Chanmyathazi Township of Mandalay.
Then, he inspected the printing operations and gave instructions to make preparations to print more school textbooks when it reached the stage of 70 GSM school textbooks as the newsprints for the newspaper were being tested after receiving the raw materials from the Thaboung Paper Mill and the need to meet the fixed quality of texts for 2024-2025 academic year, complete the work before deadline and be aware of occupational safety. — MNA/KTZH
