MoI Union Minister attends welcome ceremony for MRTV fresher staff, capacity-building training

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended a ceremony held to welcome the fresher staff and to open the capacity-building training of the Myanma Radio and Television in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
While addressing the ceremony, the Union minister said emphasis is being placed on staffing and capacity building of new employees to improve the quality of news and programmes presented in line with the changing technologies and to create new contents, adding that it can be seen the activities of MRTV can only be done with the cooperation of all.
He urged the new employees to adhere to the code of conduct and rules and to strive to become good and skillful through continuous learning. He added that the Prime Minister values the MRTV and that he instructed to be sustainable and reliable for the people during his attendance at the 75th Diamond Jubilee celebrations on MRTV.
Afterwards, Director General of the MRTV U Ye Naing provided new employees with office uniforms.
The MRTV Capacity-Building Training will be conducted from 28 March to 1 April and a total of 284 employees will be attended. Teachers and departmental officials will lecture the code of conduct and rules to be followed, and duties and responsibilities according to each department.
After the ceremony, the Union minister watched the rehearsal of the MRTV staff for Thingyan dances and provided cash awards to respective dance troupes. He also visited the day-school of the MRTV and inspected arrangements for the children of the employees. — MNA
