MoI Union Minister receives SEAVFC President

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn received Ms Elvira Yap Go, founder and president of Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children (SEAVFC) in Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday.
During the meeting, the two sides cordially discussed the set-up of SEAVFC, the 4th SEAVFC to be held in Malaysia, cooperation work with Myanmar, efforts of the Myanmar government focusing on the youth sector, including enhancement of cooperation with regional countries, willingness to show off honesty and generosity of Myanmar people and future collaboration.
The SEAVFC has been held three times since 2017, and Myanmar has won awards every competition. In 2017, director Kyaw Hninzi won the professional level with the title “May The Fragrance of Thanaka Last” in 2017, while Ma Su Lin Lei won with the short video “Everyday Heroes” (9-12 years old category) and Ma Su Latt Shwe Yi Zaw with her short video “Smile” (13-16 years old category) in 2018, and Maung Arkar Min Khant won in 2019 (9-12 years old category).
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, Permanent Secretary U Myo Myint Maung, departmental officials, former Philippine Ambassador Minda C Curz and officials of the Philippine Anak TV.
At noon, the SEAVFC President visited Maravijaya, the world’s tallest sitting marble Buddha image, in the precinct of Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw. — MNA/KTZH
