MoIC Union Minister receives special envoy of the ASEAN Chair

Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing meets Mr Prak Sakhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing of the Ministry of International Cooperation and Chairman of the Task Force to facilitate the Provision of Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar received Mr Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia at 5:20 pm on 30 June 2022 at the Ministry of International Cooperation in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, the Union minister and the special envoy exchanged views on the progress of the provision of humanitarian assistance to Myanmar for Phase-1, preparations for the delivery of Phase-2 and for the implementation of the framework for COVID-19 vaccine administration in Myanmar. The Union minister reaffirmed Myanmar’s readiness and commitment to closely coordinate with the ASEAN Secretariat, AHA Centre, and current ASEAN Chair in order to ensure humanitarian assistance is delivered to those needed most in fair and indiscriminate manner.
The meeting was attended by Dr Thet Khaing Win, Union Minister for Health and Vice-Chairman of the Task Force, Dr Daw Thet Thet Khine, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Vice-Chairperson of the Task Force, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. — MNA
