Monywa Thingyan festival promises vibrant celebration, cultural delight

According to U Myint Naing Soe, a member of Sagaing Region’s Maha Thingyan Festival organizing committee, the Monywa Thingyan festival will feature walking Thingyan activities, accompanied by the graceful dances of Thingyan dancing troupes.
“Along the Kanthaya Bogyoke road, the Monywa Thingyan festival will include a walking Thingyan event adorned with colourful umbrellas. There will be five pavilions hosting dancing competitions and entertainment, with the central pavilion serving as the focal point,” stated U Myint Naing Soe.
The main pavilion of the Monywa Walking Thingyan festival will incorporate an entertainment area alongside additional water-playing and entertainment pandals.
Moreover, five pandals will provide food donations to guests throughout the festivities, from the eve until the final day. — ASH/MKKS
