MoST Union minister inspects IT university, ICT research centre

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw met with the Rectors of the Technological and Computer Universities in Yangon Region yesterday morning at the Information and Technology University.
At the meeting, the Union Minister instructed them to make learning more effective by using ICT enable students to develop a qualification and true educational education system, to do systematic work to improve classrooms, labs and libraries, to provide a good learning environment for students to enjoy learning and to continue teaching capacity courses for the teachers.
The Rector of the Information and Technology University presented the information of the university. The Union Minister coordinated the requirements presented by the faculty members and staff of the university, and inspected the classrooms, laboratory rooms, teaching aids and the library.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister arrived at the Information and Communication Technology Research Centre and made necessary instructions for the preparations for the opening of ICT development trainings under the Mekong-Lanchang Cooperation Special Fund, to continue ICT human resource development training courses in collaboration with C-DAC of India, JICA of Japan. He also looked around the classrooms, lab rooms, server rooms and the library and coordinated the requirement presented by the staff.—MNA
