MoTC holds closing ceremony of Thingyan Festival

Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San attended a closing ceremony of the Myanma Traditional Water Festival at the Maha Thingyan Water Festival Pandal near the Railway Station in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
During the ceremony, choral dance troupes from the Ministry’s subordinate organizations performed Thingyan dances, and the Union minister and his wife presented awards to the dancers.
Then, at the closing ceremony of the Myanmar Traditional Maha Thingyan conducted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Union minister delivered a New Year speech and announced the successful winding up of the Myanmar Traditional Maha Thingyan Pandal of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
After that, the participants sang a Thingyan song named “Mann Taung Yeik Kho”, greeted each other and played with water happily, and the ceremony was successfully concluded. —MNA
