MPT donates cash and kind to monasteries, nunneries, homes for the aged, orphanages

The MPT, a telecommunications operator donated cash and kind worth K 5.5 million to monasteries, nunneries, homes for the aged and orphanages in 24 areas of regions and states on 11 November.
MPT cooperates with education and health departments and small enterprises. In September, the telecom operator donated a non-contact Tonometer (NCT) Ct-800 glaucoma measuring device worth US$4,800 used to the Myanma Railways Hospital (Insein) as an aid of providing public medical treatment.
It also donated K50 million to the Myanmar Red Cross Society to perform charity affairs. In November’s Tazaungdaing festival, over K 55 million worth of foodstuff, caps, towels and face masks were donated to monasteries, nunneries, homes for the aged and orphanages.—Thitsa (MNA)/GNLM
