MR reopens Mandalay-Myitkyina, Mandalay-Kawlin-Mandalay trains

Myanma Railways (MR) resumed its Mandalay-Myitkyina and Mandalay-Kawlin-Mandalay train service on 4 February in line with the Ministry of Health and Sports COVID guidance, according to the Kanbalu Town Railway Station, Sagaing Region.
MR has suspended its train service to those regions in the pandemic period. Now MR resumed its operation service for the railway passengers’ convenience with the number of COVID-19 patients dropping down.
The resuming trains are No. 31 Up and No. 32 Down Mandalay-Myitkyina airbag trains, No. 55 Up and No. 53 Down express trains and No. 53 Up and No. 54 Down Mandalay-Kawlin RBE trains on 4 February. Moreover, No.47 Up and No.48 Down Mandalay-Nabar trains and No. 57 Up and No. 58 Down Mandalay-Myitkyina-Mandalay trains resumed on 5 February, said U Win Myint, the station master of Kanbalu Railway Station.
MR keeps two seats for one ticket so that the commuters can follow the social distancing rule. The railway passengers need to comply with the COVID-19 rules and regulations when they are aboard the train.
