The Myancopharm COVID-19 vaccine, produced with the Ready to Fill (RTF) system at the Myanmar Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Industry, was introduced to targeted groups after the Ministry of Health received one million doses of the vaccine in April.
Union Minister for Health Prof Dr Thet Khaing Win and officials from the ministry observed and encouraged the Myancopharm COVID-19 vaccination at Zabuthiri Hospital (50-bed) in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday morning. He cordially met the people who came to receive the vaccine and inspected the immunization work.
The Myancopharm COVID-19 vaccine is packaged by the Ministry of Industry in collaboration with the Sinopharm China National Biotec Group (Sinopharm CNBG) of the People’s Republic of China. It can be given safely to pregnant and lactating mothers from 5 years of age. It can also be safely used as a booster dose for people aged 18 and older. — MNA
