Myanmar and Russia forge solar power partnership

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Mr Alexander Sergeevich Shatirov, Chief Executive Officer from the Fund RC-Investments from the Russian Federation exchanged views on the cooperation of Russia and Myanmar in generating solar-powered electricity.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Mr Alexander Sergeevich Shatirov, Chief Executive Officer from the Fund RC-Investments from the Russian Federation, at the office of the SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
They cordially discussed the progress of economic cooperation between Russia and Myanmar, plans to produce minerals from Myanmar and manufacture value-added products, generating energy and cooperation in conservation of natural resources and environment.
They also focused on manufacturing fertilizers for agricultural tasks, export of value-added products made of agricultural and livestock products from Myanmar to Russia, further promotion of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, and future plans.
Also present at the meeting were Council Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw, Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo. The CEO of Fund RC-Investments from the Russian Federation was accompanied by his delegation members, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Iskander Azizov and officials. — MNA/TTA
