Myanmar attends 34th meeting of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community High-Level Officials online

The 34th meeting of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community High-Level Officials for the year 2023 was convened online yesterday. The meeting was hosted by Indonesia, the current chairperson of ASEAN in rotation.
The Myanmar delegation led by Director-General U Aung Myint of the Department of Archaeology and National Museum under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture (SOCA Leader) attended the meeting.
The attendees discussed ASEAN emergencies in Bandar Seri Begawan Declaration, ASEAN SHIELD and meetings of the High-Level Task Force (HLTF) have been organized as a subsequent action to the Hanoi Declaration on the ASEAN Community’s 2025 High Vision.
The ASEAN Secretariat then discussed the mid-year report submission of the ASEAN-Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint 2025 Baseline, ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework (ACRF) and its implementation programmes, the framework of the circular economy of the ASEAN Economy Community, Timor-Leste’s application for ASEAN membership, 2025 Strategic Plan for Rights of those with disabilities, platforms of ASEAN research and development, Secondment officer co-appointment in various offices of the ASEAN Permanent Representative in Jakarta and the ASEAN Secretariat is presently in the process of endorsing three documents that are intended for submission to the 42nd ASEAN Summit. — MNA/KZW
