Myanmar bags three more golds in XXXII SEA Games

Myanmar sports teams garnered three more gold medals as the XXXII SEA Games is being held at various stadiums and sports halls in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Team Myanmar won one gold, one silver and two bronzes in Vovinam, one gold, and two bronzes in Taekwondo, one gold in Billiards and Snooker, one silver and two bronzes in Judo, one bronze in e-Sports, and one silver and two bronzes in Traditional Boat Race on 14 May.
Vovinam events were held at Chroy Changvar Convention Centre, Hall A, Phnom Penh.
Myanmar’s Sithu Maung secured one gold medal in Men’s 55-60 kilogrammes event while Moe Moe Aye grabbed silver inthe Women’s Under 55 kg event.
Next Myanmar’s Thanda Khaing earned one bronze in the Women’s 50-55 kg Event, while Waing Thet Aung picked one more bronze in Men’s 60-65 kg Event.
Next, Taekwondo events were continued at Chroy Changvar Convention Centre, Hall F.
Myanmar’s Kyaw Min Naing won one gold medal in Men’s 87-kg event, while Myint Ko Ko secured one silver in Men’s Under 74 kg Event.
Moe Pwint Phyu garnered one more bronze for Myanmar in the Women’s 73 kg Event.
Afterwards, the final match of the Men’s 9 Ball Pool Doubles was held at Aeon Hall, Aeon Mall Sen Sok and Maung Maung (alias) Bhone Myint Kyaw and Thaw Zin Htet secured one gold medal by trouncing Malaysia 9-3.
Meanwhile, Judo events were continued at Chroy Changvar Convention Centre, Hall C, and Chue Myat Noe Wai won a silver medal for Myanmar in the Women’s 57 kg Event.
Myanmar’s Phyo Swe Zin Kyaw got one bronze in the Women’s Under 70 kg event, and Htike Htike Kyaw picked one more bronze in the Men’s Under 55 kg event. Next, Myanmar won a bronze medal in the Mobile Legends e-Sports Event.
At the same time, Traditional Boat Race Events were held at Perk Kampot, Kampot City, Kampot Province. Myanmar won a silver medal in the Mixed 12-Oar (U-24) 500 metres Event, a bronze in the Men’s 12-Oar (open) 500-m Event, and another bronze in the Men’s 12-Oar (U-24) 500-m Event.
On 14 May, Myanmar competed in Traditional Boat Race, e-Sports, Sepak Takraw, Cricket, Volleyball, Judo, Billiard and Snooker, Weightlifting, Taekwondo, and Vovinam events and secured three gold, three silver and nine bronze medals.
On 15 May, Myanmar sports teams participated in Sepak Takraw, e-Sports, Weightlifting, Judo, Taekwondo, Vovinam, and Women’s Football events.
In the XXXII SEA Games, Myanmar has collected 97 medals so far (20 golds, 19 silvers, and 58 bronzes) . — MNA/KZL
