Myanmar, Belarus to foster further consolidation of friendship and cooperation

U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, received Mr Uladzimir Baravikou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on 19 February 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on further consolidation of the existing friendship and cooperation including activities to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Belarus in September 2024, promotion of bilateral trade and facilitation of more scholarships for Myanmar students in Belarus.
The Deputy Prime Minister also appraised the Myanmar Government’s priorities and ongoing efforts for economic reforms, peace and national reconciliation. —MNA
