Myanmar-China bilateral economic cooperation meeting held in Yangon

The Sino-Myanmar bilateral economic cooperation meeting in progress yesterday in Yangon.

A meeting on Myanmar-China bilateral economic cooperation took place at the conference hall of the China-Myanmar Economic Cooperation and Development Promotion Association in Yankin Township, Yangon, yesterday evening. Mr Li Fu Quan, Chairman of CMECDPA, delivered a welcoming speech, and Mr Hu Bin, Mayor of China’s Jilin City People’s Government, discussed matters concerning economic development and investment in Jilin City. Following this, U Nyein Chan Maung, Chairman of the National Development Association of Kyaukpyu, Myanmar, also addressed the audience.
During the meeting, Mr Lyu Ji Quan, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of Jilin City, and U Nyein Chan Maung had a prior discussion to establish Jilin City and Kyaukpyu as sister cities. They exchanged gifts and took photos together. The attendees had friendly discussions on various topics, including bilateral economic cooperation, tourism, investments, and fostering friendship and development between the two nations. — MNA/KZW
